26.5-220 GHz Circulators and isolators are ferrite waveguide components. There are two kinds of products operating within the narrow frequency band (1-4 GHz) and the full waveguide band. Junction circulators and isolators are narrow bands. Wideband devices are based on the Faraday rotation effect. It is used in many waveguide schemes to junction their parts, match different components, and protect against reflected mm-wave power.
The standard line of ELVA-1’s circulators, the CR-XX/CF/BW series, provides low insertion losses and high isolation for all three ports. They have an operation frequency band of up to 4 GHz. Better performance of the circulators can be provided within a narrow frequency band.
The IS-XX/CF/BW isolators are realized by terminating one port of the junction circulators. Ideally, it is suitable for suppressing reflected power coming from any waveguide devices with a high VSWR.
Full-band isolators (IF-XX) have good performances within the full waveguide range. Mainly used in wideband sources or receivers for suppression of mm-wave power propagating in one fixed direction. Have small insertion losses. |
